The Resilience Champion Leadership Series: Transform your culture

You understand what resilience-building approach is — but putting it into action is a different challenge entirely. This series supports you as you apply the key concepts into your setting, develop a shared foundation, and identify specific strategies to foster a resilient culture. Join as an individual or as a team.

The Resilience Champion Series

Move from “Aha!” to action.

You understand the concepts. Now what? The Resilience Champion Series supports internal leaders as they take the next step: translating a trauma-informed approach into their setting. Building on The Basics, this six-session series guides participants through developing a shared foundation, clarifying values and vision, and creating a concrete plan for building a resilient culture. Each workshop moves the work forward, from understanding to action.

The Basics On Demand is included with this course and is a prerequisite. If you’ve already taken The Basics, you’ll receive a $50 discount — email us for details. Teams are encouraged to participate together, and group rates are available for five or more who register together.

Who is this for?

  • Leaders who want to bring a trauma-informed approach to life in their organization — no fancy title required
  • Teams ready to develop a shared language and work toward sustainable culture change together
  • Organizations that have completed The Basics and are ready to go deeper
  • Internal champions who want the skills and tools to lead through a resilience lens
  • Anyone committed to building a workplace where staff and the people they serve can thrive

The journey

Six workshops,
one resilient culture.

Each session pairs reflection with practical application — and leaves your champions with concrete next steps to carry forward.

Workshop 01

Setting the foundation

This workshop introduces the series and establishes the foundation for meaningful collaboration. We’ll build on our shared language, reflect on our “why,” and build a champion team that intentionally includes the voices of clients and staff throughout the process.

Workshop 02

Reflecting on your leadership style

You don’t need a formal title to be a leader. This workshop invites you to reflect on your leadership style and explore what it looks like to bring a trauma-informed approach to life in your role. We’ll look at your strengths and barriers around connecting with others, and identify skills to support you as a resilience champion.

Workshop 03

Defining your values & vision

Culture change starts with clarity. This workshop explores the role of values in building a resilient culture and uses those values as the foundation for a vision. We’ll look honestly at how your current culture does — and doesn’t — reflect what you stand for, and begin to build a picture of where you want to go.

Workshop 04

Exploring your strengths & needs

Before you can plan, you need a clear picture of where you are. This workshop examines the strengths and needs of your setting. We’ll identify a process for gathering what’s working, what’s not, and what your organization could do differently to better support staff and serve clients.

Workshop 05

Creating an action plan

This is where the work gets concrete. Using what you learned in the previous workshop, we’ll define goals for integrating a trauma-informed approach and translate them into a clear action plan. Through brainstorming and prioritizing, participants leave with practical next steps they can actually use.

Workshop 06

Capstone & next steps

We close by taking stock of how far you’ve come. This capstone workshop brings the learning together, synthesizing what you’ve built and identifying the concrete next steps that will carry the work forward.

Why it works

Most training gives you information. This series gives you a process.

The Resilience Champion Leadership Series is built on the belief that culture change doesn’t happen through a single workshop or a one-time initiative — it happens when the right people inside your organization are equipped, supported, and given a structure to lead the work from within.

Over 10 years, we’ve seen what happens when organizations try to build a trauma-informed culture without internal infrastructure. This series builds that infrastructure — one champion at a time.

  • It develops internal champions — people at every level who can model and sustain a resilience-informed approach long after the series ends
  • It builds from the inside out — starting with each participant’s own leadership style, values, and vision before moving to organizational strategy
  • It connects personal and organizational — because resilience starts with each of us, and culture change follows when enough people share a common foundation
  • It produces something tangible — participants don’t just learn concepts, they leave with an action plan built from their own organization’s real strengths and needs
  • It’s designed for teams — the more people from your organization who participate together, the faster and more deeply the change takes hold
