Our story

Your guides on
the journey to resilience.

Origins began with a simple conviction: that the hardest challenges in our organizations and communities have origins worth understanding — and that understanding them is how real change begins.

We help teams and leaders build resilience into how they lead, work, and collaborate, so they can build more resilient organizations and communities where people innovate and thrive. Our approach is personal–pairing science-based approaches with practical, sustainable techniques and strategy, and a good amount of warmth and humor.

Whether you’re just starting your resilience journey or are ready to embed trauma-informed practice and resilience-building approaches across your organization, we meet you where you are and walk the path with you.

THE FOUNDERS

Meet the people behind Origins.

Andi Fetzner

LPC · PsyD · Therapist

A clinical psychologist with a rare gift for making trauma science feel human, hopeful, and usable.

Andi has led trauma-informed trainings across the country, building networks and partnerships that advance the field. Participants consistently point to her depth of knowledge and her genuine compassion for others — the kind of presence that makes a hard topic feel safe to engage with.

What’s her why?

Understanding toxic tress and its impact gave me the framework to crawl out of paralyzing beliefs about myself that couldn’t be explained otherwise. I have seen this work open the door to compassion for self, connection with others, and change the trajectory of many lives, including my own.

Lori Chelius

MBA · MPH · Public Health

A public-health and business strategist who turns big, daunting concepts into bite-sized, sustainable change.

Lori brings the systems thinking that helps trauma-informed practice actually take root inside real organizations — mapping it to policy, operations, and budgets. Leaders who once feared the effort required leave with a clear, manageable path they can sustain on their own.

What’s her why?

Lori is driven by creating places where people feel a sense of belonging. She believes laughter and humor are often the best way to connect with people.

What guides us

The principles behind every engagement.

Connection

Relationships can be both a source of trauma and a path to healing. When we invest in building cultures of connection and belonging, we create the conditions where the best ideas emerge. We create spaces where people feel safe enough to show up, speak honestly, and move forward together. Even conflict becomes an opportunity to learn, repair, and grow.

Compassion

We don’t always know what someone is carrying, which is why we lead with curiosity. It starts with ourselves: self-compassion is the foundation for showing up fully for others. That compassion ripples outward into our teams, our workplaces, and the people we support.

Courage

Courage means getting off the starting line, taking risks, making mistakes, and learning as you go. It means standing up and naming what isn’t working, challenging systems that have failed the people they were meant to serve, and co-creating solutions with those closest to the challenge.
